On my guided city night tours (and independent self-guided night tours in cities and everywhere else), I focus on shrines, superstition, people watching, back lanes, street food, stunning night views and night scenes (like Tokyo’s famous Aoyama Cemetery or firefly walks in June), and, in Tokyo, world class contemporary museums (open till 20:00). Night tours are well suited to perfect sunset locations (city or country), getting close to the locals in night time mode, and eating local street food as you stroll the back lanes. Many clients snack on street food a bit during a night tour and then have a late reserved dinner experience in another part of town or a special restaurant nearby the area you are exploring. A guided 4-hour night tour is Yen 35,640/group (add 5% for each person over 6 in the group). If that is too expensive for you or you really want to explore the night on your own, a 4-hour independent self-guided night tour is only Yen 9,000/group (add 5% for each person over 9).
